A few new Pictures have been added from 2007 Black & Gold Intersquad. A video from 2002 Elite Podium Meet on vault has been added as well as one new online article, "MU Seeks Elite Breakthough."

Mizzou hosted its annual Black & Gold intrasquad today. This competition allowed us to see what the Mizzou gymnastics team has been working on. It helped the team to have a chance to practice their routines front of live audience. The Black team was Sarah, Alicia Hatcher, Ashley Khederian, Lisa LaPerriere, Lauren Stephenson, and Liz Straatmann. The Gold team was Adrianne Perry, Alex Gold, Danielle Guider, Becky Scholle, Brooke Boehmer, and Lisa Puccio. Sarah competed on all events and did really well on three out of four events. She helped her Black team to win the competition ahead of the Gold team. On vault, she scored 9.850 placing second right behind Alex Gold where she scored 9.9! Sarah won the balance beam title scoring 9.800. On floor exercise, Adrianne Perry placed first ahead of Sarah where she scored 9.650. Sarah placed fourth overall behind teammates Adrianne Perry, Becky Scholle, and Ashley Khederian. Full results have been posted. There are videos provided online at Mizzou All-Access. It's not free but you can sign it up for $9.95 for a month.

Sarah Shire's Official Website has been completely redone with MU colors! I am sure every of you knew about Sarah. She transferred from University of Utah to University of Missouri this past summer to be closer to home. So far, Sarah loves Mizzou! There are a few changes on this website. Sarah's Biography and Facts 'n Faves pages have been updated. We wanted to apologize about the Ask Sarah section. The form was not working and we did not recieve any of submissions. So, if you have tried to ask Sarah something, then please try again. We have added 2002-2008 routines to the Routines page. Please notice that Sarah did not compete on the uneven bars during 2007 season. Mizzou Schedule and Teammates have been posted. Sarah's Competition Map has been updated as well with NCAA locations. Almost all of Pictures and Videos from last season have been added. Finally, the Guestbook has been replaced due of spam issues.

On the first day of the NCAA Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah, Sarah helped her team to win its preliminary session to advance to the Super Six Finals. Sarah did extremely really well, scoring 9.850 on vault and 9.800 on balance beam. During the Super Six Finals, the Utah women's gymnastics team placed second while Georgia took the team title. Sarah improved both scores from the day before. She scored 9.875 on vault and 9.850 on balance beam. Congratulations to Sarah's teammates, Ashley Postell (2nd AA, 7th UB, 1st BB, 3rd FX), Annie DiLuzio (2nd VT), Nicolle Ford (12th VT), Kristina Baskett (4th UB), Beth Rizzo (12th FX), and Daria Bijak (8th UB).

Sarah and her teammates posted its highest score of the season to win the NCAA West Regional last weekend. They tied for the best regional score in the nation with No. 1 Florida. The Utah gymnastics team traveled to Provo, Utah to compete in a dual meet against BYU last Friday night. They started off rough with two falls, but finished strong. They won the dual meet against BYU, 196.725 to 194.600. Sarah did an excellent job on vault and balance where she scored 9.775 and 9.825 respectively. Utah's next meet is the NCAA Regional in two weeks, April 14th. The location and time of the meet will be announced soon.

Utah hosted its final regular-season home meet with Arizona State last Friday night. They won the dual meet, 196.650 to 194.950. Sarah placed third on vault with a new career-high 9.900. She gave a solid routine on balance beam and scored 9.750 for an eighth place. The Utah gymnastics team will travel to Brigham Young next Friday, March 30th at 7:00 PM MT.

The Utah women's gymnastics team just finished competing in a four-way meet with OSU, Washington, and Seattle Pacific. The Utah Utes started strong on floor where everyone scored 9.750 & higher! On the next event, vault, Sarah nailed her vault and scored 9.875. The team had a rough start during the beginning of third rotation but pulled it together at the end of the rotation with two 9.925s! During the last rotation, Kristina Baskett had a nasty fall on balance beam. The team was determined to finish strong. Sarah almost fell but she managed to stay on. She scored 9.600 on that event. The Utah Utes tallied 196.675 to win the meet over OSU (196.600), UW (193.625), and SPU (189.750).

Utah just finished competing today against No. 1 Florida at the Huntsman Center. Florida won over Utah, despite two falls, beating them 197.050 to 196.725. Sarah competed on vault and balance beam where she contributed the scores of 9.800 and 9.825 respectively. The Utah Utes will compete again next Friday, March 16th against Oregon State at 7:00 PM.

The Utah gymnastics team traveled to Nebraska last Sunday night for a dual meet against No. 7 Nebraska. The team has lost some gymnasts due of injuries and fall to Nebraska, 196.100 to 196.675. Sarah started off on vault with a great score of 9.750. On the balance beam, Sarah did everything cleanly and confidently and scored 9.825! Sarah got to compete on the floor exercise for the first time. She showed an outstanding routine and received the score of 9.800 on that event. You can see all of Sarah's events on the

The Utah Utes improved their record to 8 to 1 with a win over Michigan, 196.225 to 193.800. Sarah continued to compete on vault and balance beam. She placed fourth on vault with a score of 9.875. Sarah and her teammates traveled all the way to Athens, GA to compete in a dual meet against No. 2 Georgia. The Utah Utes lost to Georgia, 195.475 to 196.850. Sarah continued to compete on vault and balance beam. She stick her vault and scored 9.775. Sarah contributed her score, 9.750 on balance beam. The Utah Utes will compete again on February 23 against Michigan at Utah.

The Utah Utes competed last Friday night against Utah State. They easily won the competition, 196.575 to 194.325. Sarah scored 9.775 on vault. She fell on balance beam and scored 9.250. Utah will compete again next Friday at the University of Georgia. Two new articles have been added.

Sarah and her teammates just finished competing today at a 4-way meet with Arkansas, Brigham Young University, and Southern Utah University. The Utah Utes won the meet with 3 points ahead of Arkansas who placed second! Sarah was on the vault and balance beam lineups today. She did extremely well and scored 9.850 on vault for a fifth place. She then did her usual "one-arm" routine on balance beam. She scored 9.800 and placed sixth on that event.

Sarah and her teammates traveled to Minnesota to compete in a dual meet against the University of Minnesota last night. The Utah Utes defeated Minnesota, 195.875 to 194.125. Sarah competed on vault as an exhibition and scored a huge score of 9.875! She replaced Queen on balance beam. Sarah did an outstanding routine on beam and scored 9.8 for a fourth place! "Hel-lo Sarah Shire. Holy cow that was a cool routine. She does this nifty series using one arm instead of two, in front of a layout." Two new

The Utah Utes hosted UCLA as their first meet of the year today at the Huntsman Center. The Utes scored 196.325 over the Bruins 195.975. Sarah did not compete on any event due of an injury.
